Emily K. Graham

Emily K. Graham is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California and has a master’s in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica where she also obtained a certificate in program development and facilitation. Currently, she is working part-time for a mental health crisis hotline, has her own counseling private practice, and is doing some consulting in various healthcare settings after nearly a decade working in the hospice/palliative home care settings. She makes time to enjoy the outdoors, nature, and animals while fostering creative projects in songwriting, fashion, and art.

Angel L. Vargas

Angel Vargas is a healthcare executive with over 19 years of experience in the ambulatory and care at home settings. As a strategic and operational leader in one of the largest healthcare delivery systems in the United States, Angel is charged with overseeing service delivery in the at-home setting for thousands of patients. A former military officer, Angel led hundreds of caregivers and staff through the covid pandemic and set the stage for future growth in the industry. Angel holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in health administration from Baylor University, Texas. Finally, Angel is a board-certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and currently serves as a senior administrator in the U.S. Air Force Reserve at Travis Air Force Base California.

John L. Graham

Professor Emeritus

John L. Graham also has a deep understanding of multigenerational living through his work with a variety of cultures and their practices. John is a Berkeley PhD and an emeritus professor of marketing and international business at the Merage Business School at the University of California, Irvine. He currently has nine other books in print including the most popular textbook in the world on International Marketing, now in its 19th edition. His three fiction books also promote extended family collaboration: Imagine Everywhere, The Great Squirrel Burglar, and Charlotte’s War. John also writes for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, the Harvard Business Review, and several other publications, and has been interviewed on NBC, Fox News, NPR, and the BBC.

Sharon Graham Niederhaus

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sharon Graham Niederhaus in 2021. Her knowledge and dedication left a lasting impact on the work we do around multigenerational living. She is dearly missed.

Sharon Graham Niederhaus understood the dynamics involved in living in extended family situations well. She completed her master’s thesis at Stanford University on multigenerational living arrangements. Sharon held a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Stanford and a Bachelors degree in Sociology/ Anthropology from Mills College. A credentialed teacher and former director of partnerships in education, she has written numerous articles in educational journals.
